Sarah McCulloch is a renowned folk singer-songwriter and country artist, known for her exceptional ability to weave captivating stories through her music. With her knack for poignant lyrics and soulful melodies, the native Floridian is carving a niche for herself in the world of music, earning a loyal fan base and attracting attention both locally and across the pond in Europe.

Americana-UK praised the songwriter’s most recent album, ‘Sawmiller's Daughter’ saying it, “combines a modern vibe with a traditional sound, and McCulloch's voice is more than able to convey her finely wrought lyrics." Lonesome Highway raved, "McCulloch allows her southern roots to shine through in her vocals. A real breath of fresh air in these days of country crossover and genre-blending." McCulloch’s music is a testament to her unmatched talent as a wordsmith and storyteller, making her a true gem in the industry.

Her upcoming full-length acoustic album, ‘Driving Me Home,’ is slated to release on May 3, 2024, and was produced by Jim Bickerstaff (Widespread Panic, Loretta Lynn, Chuck Leavell, Gladys Knight) and written entirely by McCulloch. ‘Driving Me Home' is an inspiring collection of 12 song stories, many of which feature strong capable female archetypes who showcase the strength to triumph over adversity and the courage to move forward with independence. “Because of my own life experiences, I’ve learned no matter how bad your situation is, you have to keep moving,” shares McCulloch. “But the last song I wrote for the album, ‘Driving Me Home,’ which ended up being the title track, is ultimately about relinquishing a little of that independence and allowing for vulnerability.”

‘Driving Me Home’ was mostly recorded in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and features widely acclaimed Florida musicians Raiford Starke, Jeanie Fitchen, William Ellis, and Wayne Martin.  “The overall message of this album is hope. Not becoming a victim of circumstance. Finding your voice through adversity,” shares McCulloch. “I think [this album] is ultimately a shout-out to us women who do it all - work, take care of families, create. This album is to tell all my sisters that you’re doing it and you’re doing it well. But it’s also okay to be vulnerable because that’s what makes us human.”

Born in Miami, McCulloch was raised in a swampy remote enclave of northeastern Collier County, near the Big Cypress Seminole Reservation. Her family built their home with hand-milled cypress from her Father's sawmill. She was homeschooled for most of her formative years and drew songwriting inspiration from her colorful childhood, surrounded by the Seminole Tribe and Florida pioneers. Sarah's music has recently been recognized by the State of Florida's Division of Arts and Culture for her significant contribution to country music. Her music is being added to the state's Folklife Program's online encyclopedia of Florida music, to be published on the state's website in May of 2024.

From coffee shops and theaters to tiki bars and festivals, McCulloch is enthralling audiences far and wide with her personable musical mosaic and unforgettable voice married with meaningful songs. ‘Driving Me Home’ will be available to stream and download everywhere May 3, 2024.
